Please Vote |

Vote Please. It is a right, a privledge, and something we all need to do. Goodness knows I've had enough of a few things. I don't want to get all political here so I won't. HOWEVER....
- won't you be glad when these ridiculous tv ads are over? I know I will.
- aren't you ready for lower gas prices?
- wouldn't you love to see a politician who doesn't smear his/her opponent?
- don't you just dread the end of Oct/beginning of Nov television ads?
- Do you wonder how they will screw up computerized voting results?
- Don't you think we should all just write in "Snoopy for President"
- forget a woman president--we may be headed for a doggie prez.... LOL
*If I offended anyone I humbly apologize* Here at writewize the "Show must go on"
I promise to get back on the subject of WRITING ..... soon. (this kidney infection has my brain cells scrambled. I am sleeping a lot..... I'll be normal again very soon.)

Dumb people and the word "is" |

Are I the only one? <---------notice anything WRONG HERE. Have you noticed anything unusual lately? Do you pay attention to the news, television programs, public speakers, your neighbors, etc. Do you just cringe when they say, "is" instead of "are"? This week alone I kept a tally sheet next to me while I watched evening television. When I hit 30+ I hit the roof. What native tongue do we speak? This is a basic concept here. The verb --to be. But, go figure...our own president cannot figure out how to pronounce nuclear. You know nooo kle er Here is a tip. The dog is lying down. 1 object
The kids are playing outside. multiple objects Real frickin easy!!!!
Okay, soapbox lecture over!

Watching the Daily Show with your Toddler |
Image from Comedy Central Website
Ready for a Funny Friday? Try watching The Daily Show with your toddler. Oh my goodness! Yes, laughter will ensue. Last night, while watching the show, my eighteen-month-old grandson Jaden decided to pay attention to the television in an attempt to avoid falling asleep. As John Stewart did his comedy bit ripping G. Dubya to bits and making fun of his Rose Garden Press Conference, my grandson began to imitate the Prez. He waved his arms about gesturing in the "Dubya" manner and had us all in stitches. Someone once happened to mention the word "Dumb Dumb" and so every time Jaden sees good ole' Dubya he shreiks "Dumb Dumb" and points to the Prez. Hilarity ensues.
I know, I know. Not very patriotic. But hilarious as all get out at 11:30 at night. I 'bout peed my drawers I laughed so hard. He must have said "dumb dumb" about 19 times in a row during the broadcast while Stewart discussed issues and continued to show pieces of the press conference.
Hey, at least we didn't teach him a "bad" word. It could have been much worse. I know I'll get tons of comments on this one so bring 'em on. It was just harmless fun.
